is ti-83going to program things the same as ti-83 plus?

I don't have a TI-83 Plus graphing calc, its just a TI-83 graphing calc...its a bit older, but it works just fine, so whyspend another $80- $90 when I got this for free? Will this make a big difference in getting my calc programs (mathematical) just because its not a 'plus' calc? I didn't see any sections for calculators without the 'plus' option..hope this makes sense. If not, please let me know.

Answered: How do I download the files to my calculator?

Hi,

Simply use Ticonnect (official tool for windows) or Tilp (community tool for windows, Linux and Mac) and connect you calculator using the silverlink (if you don't have it buy it online).

If you"re using a regular TI83, be sure to download file with .83p extension (some other are allowed for other kind of vars).

If you"re using TI83 plus or TI84 plus, you can download file with .8xp, 8xk extensions (some other are allowed for other kind of vars).

You can download programs here or on the major community website ticalc.org

Hope it helps.

Answered: (x^2/5)-(y^2/2)=1

y is in and of itself. You must always change the equation so the y is the end result by itself. so in calculator you select stat plot...y= x 2/5 power minus one since the previous equation shows that x 2/5 power is the greater number from which the addends produced. Then you select standard result and your graph will reveal that the answer is negativew one.
