You should be able to enter these into the y= menu.  For example 3tan(x/2)

In order to see them you need to go into the correct zoom mode or you won't see them correctly.  If you use the zoom button next to window and trace you will be given a number of zoom options.

ztrig often works really well for trig functions.  Hope this helps.  Ask another question or comment if you need more help.

Just noticed that you are on a TI-84 Plus, It should be essentially the same.
